The following controls are enclosed in a free standing panel. Barber
Colman 570 digital programmable controller, Barber Cloman 560 digital
high limit, LH Inficon model CC3 vacuum gauge with digital readout,
Honeywell 2 pen DR 4500 round chart recorder, and a Honeywell
dial-a-pak indicating controller for the diffusion pump heater.
Controls Description.
The vessel and dished heads on the end and door have water jacket
cooling. The door is secured with twelve swing bolts. The hot zone has
a grafoil hot face backed up with three layers of graphite felt
insulation. The elements are graphite rods suspended around the work
area. The elements are divided into three banks from front to back and
are controlled by a Hunderton water cooled VRT. The work trays are
supported by five graphite rails that run from front to back. The
pumping system consist of a Stokes 412-11, 300 CFM roughing pump, a
M-D Pneumatics 5514-93T2 blower, and a 35" diffusion pump. There is a
Spencer 50 HP 4400 CFM gas booster with heat exchanger for cooling. A
hydraulic lift, fork type loader is included. There are various spare
parts with the furnace.
